Wordless

I don’t know what to say anymore about the United States government’s headlong rush into fascist racist imperialism … tempting war, internal tumult, isolation from allies, plus likely economic and societal collapse.

We are led by lawless, compassionless, brainless, murderous bigots and perverts who daily gnaw away at the Constitution and democracy in the vain attempt to satisfy their limitless lust for wealth and power over others.

And I’m choosing some of the nicer words at my disposal.

That’s all I can write for now, or I will be right on the edge of breaking down for the third or fourth time today.

  1. As you lament in truth, don’t forget the Sermon; don’t forget grace; and don’t forget the One who will avenge.

These days, Dorothy Day’s quip haunts me: “I really only love God as much as I love the person I love least.” And this from Nietzsche (though I’m subverting his original intent): “Be careful, lest in fighting the dragon you become the dragon.”

I find strength and hope in Mt. 13. As the Day approaches, weeds will grow and thicken–and so shall the wheat!

May the wheat of our lives and the yeast of His Kingdom and the fire of His Spirit produce bountiful bread for his banquet table, upon which the nations shall feast–at the pleasure of the King, in the light of His love, forever and ever.

    Love you, Keith.
