I used to blog about the spiritual side of this aging television classic; how themes of sacrifice and resurrection and redemption were common to it.
And I would be remiss in my duties as a closet fan if I didn’t point you to what might be one of the best episodes of the classic television series that you’ve probably never seen:

My guess is that some of the acting will impress you; the production values with floor you; and the script may very well leave you shattered.

Keith, whenever I’ve see any kind of “Star Trek” I’ve <>ALWAYS<> turned the channel. I have <>NEVER<> watched “Star Trek” anything… Until this afternoon…And I think I’m a lil embarassed to say that I did, indeed, spend an hour of my life, here, in front of this computer, watching this episode…Because after countless hours spent reading your blog this past year or so, I’ve come to trust that I will be blessed by whatever you choose to share with us…And I have yet to be disappointed…Sacrifice and Resurrection and Redemption, indeed!!! Makes me anticipate the gathering with brothers and sisters tomorrow to celebrate these very gifts! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to the <>New Voyages<> site in the past six months to download “WE&T” only to find it unavailable. I hadn’t looked in a couple of weeks. Glad to see it’s now up and out. Thanks. Also, glad to find you’re also a <>New Voyages<> fan. Also, I’m excited to hear “WE&T” has been worth all the hype.
