Numbers

Sometime during the next 24-48 hours it looks like my little counter will tick off my 50,000th unique visitor.

That’s kind of a misnomer. It really means that the same handful of people have logged in to the internet 50,000 times and have visited my site in the last 22 months. And while each of them is unique, there aren’t 50,000 of them.

I’m not much into stats and origins of visitors, numbers of lurkers, etc. – so I don’t have a fancy package to tell me all those things.

I’m just glad to have been ticking off people since 2005.

I don’t really have in mind any kind of prize or celebration.

Does that tick you off?

  1. Ahhh man! That’s why I came here from Bloglines! I thought I could win a stinkin’ prize!Well… and I like the stuff you write.

  2. What, someone as creative as yourself can’t come up w/some kind of unique prize or celebration? That’s okay…it’s like getting a little prize of some sort every time I come here and there’s a new post to read! I, for one, am glad you don’t have a fancy package to give details on everyone. If you knew how often I really do stop by, it might be a little embarassing. Because I’m certain I’ve been ticked off here numerous times–by the <>counter<>, that is!I, on the other hand, do have a nifty little package that goes along w/my counter–which is nearing a whopping 500! (Don’t make fun!) And I gotta admit, it’s nice to see, every couple of days, a visit from a self-referring Mac user w/a Safari browser. Anyway, congrats on nearing such a milestone! May God continue to bless you with readers w/whom you can share your story and His Story. He’s given you an amazing gift, thank you for using it. Much love! Your sister!–mmlace

  3. Man, I’ve been coming here all these years in hopes of winning something. All I’ve ever got was taught, challenged, touched and a friend that I’ve never actually met…oh well I guess that will have to do.

  4. Well, right now you’re nine short, but I’m glad to see your blog is read. You do good stuff, Keith, and I’m glad you’re writing here. May our Lord bless you in the work. Peace.

  5. “Does that tick you off?”What an ingenius pun when talking about numerical statistics and counting. Please tell me this was on purpose……

  6. <>*Laughing, shakes head*<>Alan, Alan, Alan…Keith, you make me laugh out loud. Often.Perhaps that’s another reason why I come by here so often.

  7. Hi Keith, I don’t think I’ve ever left a comment here, but I just wanted you to know I enjoy reading your blog. My husband and I were at PV from ’94 to ’01, when we moved. You probably wouldn’t remember us, though.Laura
