Laymond, it's Acts 2:38.I was baptized by David Bobo, and he was as close to an apostle as anyone I have ever known. However, it is not by his piety nor any office that God limits the giving of the gift of His Holy Spirit.
Keith, can you look through Acts 2. and point me to where it said anyone except the apostles who had recently received the Holy Spirit from Jesus, was baptizing anyone. and how the apostles were baptizing without laying on hands.
No, laymond, I can't find that in Acts 2. I also can't find that all 3,000 souls were baptized only by the apostles in one day.Neither can I find anything in scripture that says there is only one way that God gives His Holy Spirit, which is through the laying on of the apostles' hands – which would have been an interesting feat in the case of David (Psalm 51) or his predecessor Saul, or Moses, or Moses' seventy elders, the architect of the tabernacle Oholiab. But I wouldn't put it past God to do it that way if He decided it was the only way He was going to do it.I also can't find anywhere in Acts 10 where an apostle laid his hands on those Gentiles who received the Holy Spirit before they were baptized.Maybe you can help me find those things, bro.
